Manchester United's interest in Kylian Mbappé is more real than ever. After his warning to PSG that he would not renew his contract and that he would be free to sign for any club he wanted, he is turning the whole summer market upside down, as the Parisian owners do not want to miss out on part of their investment.
The new owner of the Red Devils is Sheikh Jassim, who has bought the club for £6 billion, which seems unreal for the fans who will no longer see the Glazer family in the boxes as they usually did. Now, they will have a historic investment for one of the most powerful teams on the planet.
So the idea of having Mbappé to be in the squad for the UEFA Champions League is not so unbelievable. Erik ten Hag understands that they need more power in their attack, and only with a star of the Frenchman's stature could they stand up to their neighbours: Manchester City.
One of the first pieces that would start to create a good atmosphere for Mbappé at United would be in Serie A. A teammate who was with him at the Qatar 2022 World Cup could be the key to convincing him, and would also help with the defensive shortcomings the team had last season.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Théo Hérnandez is one of Erik ten Hag's priorities for Manchester United's defensive midfield. The Frenchman has had an interesting season with the Rossoneri and his cost would be no more than 60 million euros, something that would also go down well in the coffers of the Italian club.
