Manchester United want the best possible players for their return to the UEFA Champions League. The club managed by Erik ten Hag has the top priority of being one of the best in Europe, and the summer transfer window will be important to have the pieces they need to achieve the necessary triumphs.
One of these elements is Neymar Jr., who is still fighting for Paris Saint-Germain to let him leave in a good way, after his inseparable teammate Lionel Messi left Europe to play in the MLS with Inter Miami, who is owned by the historic David Beckham in North America.
And they have already turned their attention to a talented youngster at Chelsea who is Mauricio Pochettino's man to get back on track in the English Premier League. The Argentinian coach is just planning his season, and does not want talented players to leave his hands in order to get back to the top.
That is why the sum of money they will ask for the talented striker is exorbitant. And the Red Devils are beginning to feel they are a long way from being able to secure his signature. They have to be smart when it comes to negotiating, as they think that this transfer cannot exceed the initial budget they had.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports on his social media that Manchester United have asked Mason Mount to talk with Chelsea in a deal to speed up his departure from the club. The player is interested in moving to Old Trafford, but the Blues will demand a fee of 80 million euros to let him stay with the Red Devils.
