Manchester United continue their pre-season to get ready for the next Premier League season and the Ivorian wonderkid Amad Diallo is being one of the news in the Red Devils. The 21-year-old player comes from completing a great season on loan with Sunderland in the Championship, having scored 14 goals in 43 games played with the Black Cats’.

In his mind, Amad Diallo, has returned this season to Manchester Untied with the main goal of convincing Erik Ten Hag to let him stay in the team, despite the club seems to have other plans for the young star. According to the latest news in the Italian media, Manchester United could be trying to include Diallo in a swap deal with Atalanta to sign Rasmus Hojlund, but everything could change regarding the level shown by the Ivorian wonderkid during this pre-season.

Diallo is determined to convince Ten Hag to stay at the club, and he has started to work on it.  The Ivorian player was one of the best players in the first Manchester United friendly game in the pre-season against Leeds, having surprised everyone at the club with his speed and quality on the pitch, having allowed the fans and Ten Hag to enjoy a very nice spectacle.

The player left great stats in his first game

During the 45 minutes Diallo was on the pitch against Leeds, he left great stats for Ten Hag to consider his permanence. Diallo had 36 touches of the ball to his name, having a pass accuracy of 88% and one key pass. He embarked on three dribbles and he came out on top on all three occasions, showing that dribbling is easily one of his main strengths and he displayed his expertise in this aspect to great effect. His defense was superb and he won four of the five ground duels he delved into.

Given his numbers, the club and Ten Hag could be in a great dilemma, as the player seems to be strongly convinced to stay at the high level the Dutchman requires, and at this moment his potential exit from the club would be totally unlikely.
