The Colombian Liverpool player Luis Diaz starred in one of the moments in the summer while he was on vacation. The player, who will wear the iconic Liverpool number 7 shirt next season, struggled to play with the Reds last campaign as he suffered two knee injuries that kept him out of the pitch for many games.

Luis Diaz is expected to be a sensational addition for Liverpool this season, as he is getting ready to be back and impact the Reds’ attack both in Premier League and Europa League. The player is currently enjoying his vacation in his native country, where he had the chance to play a friendly game in Barranquilla (Colombia) with his former team Junior a few days before reporting to pre-season with Liverpool.

Liverpool’s new number 7 was able to play a farewell game with Junior, organized by the Colombian team to say goodbye to the goalkeeper Sebastian Viera after having played 12 years, lifted seven trophies and played 639 with the club. Luis Diaz, took part in the game as a Junior legend, receiving a warm welcome on his return to his former team and stadium in Colombia.

‘Lucho’ happiness wasn’t complete

However, the big news of the night for Liverpool wasn’t his presence but a detail from the Liverpool striker at the game. Despite the result of the game being a 5-0 win for Junior, Luis Diaz, who wore the number 23 shirt, missed a penalty early on after striking the upright.
