The recent agreement found between Manchester United and Chelsea for the transfer of Mason Mount has started to impact on the Red Devils’ universe, having started all kind of speculations about Mount's role in the team and his impact on the Bruno Fernandes position in the team, which could be affected by the English international arrival.

The rivalry between the two players has already started even in terms of salary, after knowing the possible numbers appearing in the potential Mount’s salary at United, which we have been able of knowing following sources from the Sports News correspondent at The Mail Mike Keegan.

According to the English journalist, Mason Mount will earn £250,000-a-week, with the possibility to take it up to £300,000 with bonuses. Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes, after signing this year a contract extension with the Red Devils until 2026, will receive £240,000 -a-week, an amount slightly lower than Mason Mount’s.

Mason Mount's natural position is the role of number 10, the same as Bruno Fernandes, having both players a great incidence as free kick-takers or penalty kick-takers, roles in which they were also ready to compete with each other. Undoubtedly, the competition between both players will be a key topic along the next United’s season, as Mount arrives as top priority signing, asked by the coach Ten Hag, and considering the leading role of Bruno Fernandes in the team.
