Many fans are being quite critical about Romelu Lukaku's performance in the match between Inter Milan and Manchester City, where the Italian side lost to Josep Guardiola's men and got the coveted treble they earned through good soccer.
A blunder in front of Ederson's goal had him trending on social networks after the match, as it would have forced extra time and, possibly, a penalty shootout. In that instance, coach Simone Inzaghi's players could have had a chance to snatch the UEFA Champions League trophy.
The Belgian striker is owned by Chelsea, but the Blues are not convinced to keep the striker, as Mauricio Pochettino would not see him in the squad he needs to revive the Stamford Bridge team, which was relegated to 12th place in the overall Premier League table.
Inter Milan are deliberating whether to keep Lukaku, who has been effective with the Italians and has gone down well in Serie A. But they are also preparing for their next season, and getting the best deals for elements who play in positions other than offense.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano reports that Inter MIlan and Chelsea are in talks over the future of Romelu Lukaku. The Nerazzurri's priority would be to keep the striker, but they also want Kalidou Koulibaly, so there would also be negotiation for the midfielder and, in addition, goalkeeper André Onana.
