This summer could mark the definitive departure of Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain, since a couple of weeks ago the French striker reportedly told the Parisian club's board that he had no intention of renewing his contract until 2025, so he would become a free agent in a year and would leave for free to any team he wanted.

However, PSG would have given Mbappé an ultimatum. Should he not want to renew with the team, he would leave the club this summer, as PSG's owners would not be willing under any circumstances to let him leave for free. Given this, rumors began to emerge about his possible transfer, with Real Madrid being the favorite team to sign Mbappé.

But the French team's board would also have the intention of making Kylian's transfer the most expensive in history, so they would have initially asked for 250 million euros for him, an amount that seems impossible for any European team currently, as even Liverpool was interested in making an offer for Mbappé.

But now, with the latest statements from PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, Mbappé's price could have dropped as it has been said that Kylian has two weeks to decide his future and if he does not sign a contract extension they will sell him, and in that sense they would be willing to accept €200 million for him in order to avoid him leaving for free next season, although in the end the decision about leaving to another club will end up being Mbappé's.

Liverpool's offer for Mbappé

According to Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre, the Liverpool board has made an official offer to PSG to sign Kylian Mbappé this summer. The offer would be €200 million, so now PSG must decide whether to accept it or not, and if they do Kylian should negotiate with the Reds to agree on his possible arrival at Anfield.
